Mother’s Day

When we grow up not many of us realise the efforts our mothers take to bring us up. As we move on in life , we go through the many stages of life and learn to value and cherish our mothers. Though Daughters are always daddy’s girls basking and getting spoiled in their pampering! On this Mother’s Day through the lockdown ,women have been working overtime and overloaded with home work and office work, yet they try their best to keep the kids and families happy and healthy.

I wish every woman a Joyful Mother’s Day - feel proud of yourself and celebrate yourself ❤️

God made Vs Man made

I came back to my blog after a really long long time. So long that I almost forgot I even had this blog. Thanks to my dear friend Jaya for bringing this back to me. I owe some friends of mine a lot in life.

I thought I should make this post a first after a long time because it is the apt time to believe that mankind needs a reminder than he is not the all powerful. We’re all facing the global lockdown against the fight for the deadly pandemic corona. I would like to convey to one and all to be safe and be at home and protect yourself and others and help in the fight against this pandemic. The earth is healing from the many negativities created by men like pollution, and many other. Though it is a very tough time but it’s the best to be done in the interest of many all over the globe.

My sincere gratitude to all the health workers and essential service providers.

Dry Ginger Coffee

The winter is moving over and making for the summery hot days pretty soon. And we had some unprecedented rains which took us by surprise and gave us all some really sore throats. This tea is to soothe those horrid throats. This chukku (dry ginger) kaapi(coffee)- an easy and effective home remedy for cold, is made out of palm jaggery which is also an excellent source of calcium and lots of other stuff.

To make enough for 2 people
You need

Palm jaggery 3 tablespoon
Peppercorns 2 tsp
Coriander seeds 2 tsp
Water 200 ml
Fresh/dry ginger 1 inch piece
  • Crush all the above in a blender and add it to the water and let it boil down to half the original quantity.
  • Sieve and drink hot to soothe that hurting throat.
You can increase or decrease the ingredients to suit your taste. But its more effective if you drink it regularly for a few days and make it more strong. You can add tulsi leaves to this too.
